RAMALLAH, PALESTINE - AUGUST 26, 2025: Twenty-four Palestinians, including an elderly man and a child, were injured and three others arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 26, during an illegal raid by Israeli forces in Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams treated 24 injured people, including seven with live bullet wounds, three with shrapnel injuries from live bullets, six injured by rubber-coated bullets, and eight suffering from tear gas inhalation.

Among the injured were a 12-year-old child shot in the back with live ammunition and a 71-year-old man.

The Red Crescent also said Israeli forces prevented its teams from reaching an injured person near the Ramallah vegetable market and fired warning shots at paramedics attempting to provide assistance.

Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, at least 1,015 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and illegal settlers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In an advisory opinion last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
