Storyline: The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 64,455, with 162,776 others injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Sunday. Over the past 24 hours, hospitals across Gaza reported 87 deaths and 409 injuries, according to the statement. Five more Palestinians, including three children, died of starvation in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll from famine and malnutrition to 387, among them 138 children, the health authorities said.
