This is the dramatic moment a driver bravely navigated a flooded road during a storm in China.

Mr Li and his friends attempted to pass through chest-deep floodwaters amid a heavy downpour in Shamen, Fujian.

Footage shows murky water crashing against the windscreen and windows of their white sedan as it moved forward, resembling a submarine on July 11.

However, the vehicle soon stalled in the middle of the flooded road, forcing the pair to evacuate.

The car can be seen tilted forward, half-submerged in the rising waters. The driver and passenger were stranded nearby, surrounded by surging floodwaters.
