This is the awesome moment a surfer caught waves on a weir along the Boise River in Idaho.
Footage shows the wave rider trying to balance his surfboard on gushing torrents before plunging into the water on September 10.
Other surfers were seen swimming over to take their turn.
The Boise River is a 102-mile tributary of the Snake River in southwestern Idaho. It is a major source of irrigation and drinking water, and is also popular for recreational activities like rafting and fishing.
