Discussions on Sunday and Monday included issues related to TikTok. The two sides say their talks were guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng reaffirmed China's determination to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests. He also vowed to protect the interests of Chinese-funded enterprises overseas. He said the essence of China-US economic and trade relations is mutual benefit and win-win results. Both sides said a stable economic and trade relationship is significant for each other and beyond. They vowed to jointly safeguard their hard-won achievements. They also pledged to continue to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, and fully leverage the role of their economic and trade consultation mechanism for more win-win outcomes. Both sides will promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of economic and trade relations. During the talks, China raised concerns about what it calls unilateral bullying by Washington. China criticized the US for overstretching the concept of national security and expanding the list of sanctions against Chinese entities.
