Storyline:
China Media Group (CMG) on Monday signed a memorandum of cooperation with Spain's professional football league LALIGA, outlining consensuses between the two sides on jointly promoting football exchanges, holding tournaments and facilitating youth football development.

The consensuses include establishing a mechanism focusing on the fusion of contents and marketing, jointly holding exchange activities featuring football culture, sharing industry experiences and information, and jointly promoting the development of youth football training in both countries.

Currently, the two sides have already reached a key agreement on the broadcast rights of LALIGA matches, which is expected to provide football fans in China with more high-level LALIGA matches and more diverse contents regarding Spanish football via CMG platforms .

Both sides also hope to take the signing of the memorandum as a new starting point to expand their cooperation and inject more positive energy into the exchanges in various sectors including football, other sports, and culture between the people of the two countries, thus writing a new chapter in the development of international sports, as well as communication and mutual learning between different civilizations.

Established in 1928, the LALIGA is headquartered in Madrid, the capital of Spain, with 20 first division clubs and 22 second division clubs. It is one of the Big Five, representing the strongest football leagues in Europe.
