Phoenix, United States - September 15, 2025 09/15/2025 01:15 am GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers and Glendale Fire Department crews responded to a reported collision in the westbound lanes of the Loop 101 near 67th Avenue. According to information gathered at the scene, a Honda sedan, driven by an adult female driver, entered a construction zone that was occupying the right lane of the westbound 101. The driver collided with a parked construction vehicle. The impact pushed the construction vehicle into a second construction vehicle. The DPS sergeant at the scene confirmed that the female driver of the Honda was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition, where she was later pronounced deceased. No road crews were injured in the collision. DPS and ADOT restricted traffic in the area, leaving lanes 1 and 2 open while troopers investigated the crash.
