Egypt - September 03, 2025 Cairo West Air Base, Egypt – On September 3, 2025, U.S. Air Force Col. Kevin “Flint” Hicok, commander of the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing, flew an F-16 Fighting Falcon as part of BRIGHT STAR 25. A B-roll package provides a pilot’s point-of-view, showing takeoff, aerial maneuvers, a barrel roll, and landing, with footage ranging from natural speed to 1.5x and 4x speed. The sortie also features a pilot from the 55th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron. BRIGHT STAR 25, a multilateral exercise with over 40 participating countries, is conducted by U.S. Central Command alongside the Arab Republic of Egypt. The exercise spans air, land, and sea domains, promoting regional security, cooperation, and interoperability in irregular warfare against hybrid threat scenarios.
