VARIOUS OF MEETING HALL / ATTENDEESBISHKEK, KYRGYZSTAN - SEP. 18, 2025: The first meeting of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) prime ministers and vice presidents was held in Kyrgyzstan's capital city, Bishkek on Thursday, Sep. 18. The meeting, held at the Presidential Palace, was attended by Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Adilbek Kasymaliyev, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Kazakh Prime Minister Olcas Bektenov, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, and OIC Secretary General Kubanichbek Omuraliev. At the meeting, participants exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transportation, digitalization, energy, and agriculture. In his speech, Kasymaliev emphasized that in recent years the Organization of Turkic States has transformed from a dialogue platform into a major regional union with new structures and mechanisms. Recalling that Kyrgyzstan is holding the rotating chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States this year, Kasymaliev noted that he gives special importance to enhancing economic cooperation during the current term. Kazakh Prime Minister Bektenov stated that the constructive policies of the presidents have allowed for the planned implementation of important initiatives aimed at establishing the strategic foundation of the OTS. Azerbaijani Prime Minister Asadov also highlighted the importance of uniting the efforts of Turkic states to ensure stability, security, and prosperity. Vice President Yilmaz said that the OTS has become one of the key actors in the region, strengthening solidarity among member countries and promoting prosperity, development, and integration. At the end of the meeting, a joint declaration was adopted, welcoming the progress made under Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship during the 2024–2025 term.
