US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Teen Attacked Bike Tires Slashed On Camera
Los Angeles, United States - September 18, 2025 09/17/2025 09:00 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A Santa Clarita mother is searching for clues in the apparent attack of her teenage son, who was riding his bike on a city bike trail when he was ambushed by a man who she says punched the boy and slashed his tires. The following was written by the mother who Key News is set to interview on camera today: Last night, my teenage son was violently attacked by a grown man wielding a knife. I’m devastated. The assailant fled the scene on a bike, leaving my son injured and shaken. He was riding with a friend on a designated bike trail (San Francisquito Trail) near Ave Scott and Channel Road in Santa Clarita (SoCal) when the man—who had no lights or reflective gear—was nearly collided with. Startled, the friend screamed, and the man began pursuing them. As my son stopped to remove a twig from his spokes, the man ambushed him from behind—slamming him to the ground, punching him repeatedly, breaking his helmet, stabbing his tires, stomping his bike, and stealing his keys. My son begged him to stop and screamed out and begged for help in the street. One person finally stopped to help. A kind couple heard the screams from across the street and came out to help once the man had fled. I’m deeply grateful to these three individuals who stayed with my son until I arrived.
