INTERVIEW WITH PROTESTER CHRISY A.ATHENS, GREECE - SEPTEMBER 20: Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza was protested in Athens, the capital of Greece, on Sunday, Sept. 20. Organized by various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and some left-wing parties, demonstrators gathered in front of the parliament building at Syntagma Square in Athens to protest Israel’s attacks on Palestine. The protesters then marched along Panepistimiou Street, chanting slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine” and “Not self-defense, but genocide.” Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has been carrying out a genocide in Gaza, which has so far killed more than 65,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
