5. RIKKO VOORBERG SPEAKING TO CAMERA AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - SEPT. 21: People from different faiths joined the “Peacewalk Amsterdam” march on Sunday, Sept. 21, to mark World Peace Day and express solidarity with Gaza.
The event began at Dominicus Church, where religious leaders prayed and sang for peace. Special prayers were offered for Palestinians, with speakers highlighting the suffering in Gaza.
Participants marched through the city carrying signs and Palestinian flags before reaching Fatih Mosque, where visitors received information about Islam and messages of peace.
Since March 18, the Israeli army has resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip, killing at least 12,724 people and injuring 54,534 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January, according to the ministry.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its war on the enclave.
