In a statement, the ministry said the incident occurred on the morning of September 24. It attributed the operation to personnel from the "Rubicon" testing center for advanced unmanned technologies.

"Calculations from the UAV unit of the 'Rubicon' center detected and destroyed an unmanned Ukrainian Armed Forces boat in the Black Sea waters near the coast of Crimea," the ministry said.

The statement was accompanied by the release of a video, described as "objective control footage," purportedly showing the engagement.

The claims have not been independently verified. Ukraine has not issued an immediate comment on the reported incident.
