VARIOUS OF PROTESTORS SINGING AND DANCINGLONDON, UK - OCT. 1, 2025: Demonstrators gathered in Westminster for a so-called “Pink Protest” on Wednesday, Oct. 1, continuing a wave of actions held across the UK this summer. The movement highlights security concerns in areas where asylum seekers are housed in hotels. Previous protests in London’s Canary Wharf and Liverpool saw women wearing pink clothing as a symbol, voicing fears over the safety of women and girls. At the same time, a counter-demonstration was held on Downing Street by “Women Against the Far Right,” a group opposing the protests and accusing them of stoking anti-migrant sentiment.
