Every day a new one is being added to the protests in Italy against the ongoing genocide of Israel in Gaza. Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in the capital's Piramide district marched behind banners reading ‘Stop the genocide’ and ‘Stop complicity with Israel’. The cortege passed in front of the Colosseum, the symbol of Rome, and ended in San Giovanni Square. The demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags and banners that read ‘Stop the genocide’ chanted slogans such as ‘Freedom for Palestine’, ‘We are all anti-Zionists’, ‘We are all antifascists’, ‘Murderers’, ‘Free Palestine from the river to the sea’, “Intifada”, ‘Free Gaza’, ‘Zionist, terrorist state Israel’, ‘Meloni resign’, ‘Shame on you’ and ‘Government resign’. Some demonstrators lit torches in the colours of the Palestinian flag, while a group marched accompanied by a marching band. During the march, the demonstrators protested against both Israel, which continues to commit genocide in Gaza, and the Italian government for not stopping this genocide.
