Phoenix, United States - October 09, 2025 10/09/2025 01:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to Phoenix Police Duty Commander Matthew Seikmann, Phoenix police officers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to the area of 11th Street and Taylor Street at approximately 1:00 a.m. for reports of a shooting. Information gathered during the initial investigation suggests the victim, an adult male, and the witness, an adult female, were approached by a group of individuals while walking along 11th Street, south of Taylor. An unidentified suspect from the group produced a firearm and shot the adult male victim multiple times. The suspect and the related group fled the area following the gunfire. The adult male victim was struck multiple times in the lower extremities. The adult female who was accompanying the victim at the time of the shooting was not injured. The victim was transported to a nearby trauma center. Phoenix PD detectives responded to the hospital and the scene of the shooting to investigate the incident. Officers have a limited description of the suspects involved in the shooting.
