【Voice_over】 Shanghai is starting 2026 with efforts to highlight its film and cultural tourism industries. Shanghai's Wu'an Film District was unveiled last year as the city's first film-themed neighborhood, integrating historic buildings and cinematic tourist experiences. There are more than 50 film-themed tourist attractions and almost 200 shops and businesses that sell souvenirs or other movie related paraphernalia. In Shanghai's MetroCity commercial district, meanwhile, the country's first animation-themed cinema has opened. 【Sound_bite】 Ling Yan, Tourist: "It's a great idea to bring the movie scenes closer to us, making them more relevant to our lives." [Restrictions: No access Chinese mainland]
