A video circulating on social media shows the moment a man had his nose cut by a kite line while riding his motorcycle on Rua Cidade de Palmas, in the Sítio Cercado neighborhood, Curitiba, Paraná.

In the footage, the rider appears with his face covered in blood and describes the shock he felt after being hit by the line, which allegedly had cerol — a dangerous mix of glue and ground glass used to make the line sharp. Despite the injury, he managed to stop the motorcycle and record the video to warn others.

It’s worth noting that, according to Article 132 of the Brazilian Penal Code, flying kites with cerol can be classified as endangering the life or health of others, carrying a penalty of three months to one year in prison.
