A tragic wildlife accident at our tennis court as a small dove crashes into the high wire fence surrounding the court.
We had just arrived sat our local tennis court when to our horror a small dove crashed into the high wire fence at high speed. He became stuck in the wire and we felt so helpless to save him, because it was so high up. We managed to find a long pole and managed to free him and he fell to the ground amid a flurry of feathers. Sadly he was dead at this stage. It was a strange and tragic accident. I wonder what caused him to crash, did he not see the fence ? Was he distracted, was he being chased, or was he suicidal ?
