Israeli authorities have demolished the Segev Shalom outpost in the Negev, citing illegal construction. The outpost was home to members of Israel’s Bedouin community of African heritage, including several veterans and current members of the Israeli security services.

According to residents, the demolition left numerous families among them women and children without shelter. One resident described the operation as sudden and devastating, claiming that no alternative housing arrangements were provided.

A young boy at the site alleged that the outpost was cleared to make way for the resettlement of Jewish residents. However, another community member, who identified himself as a former security service officer, rejected that claim.
