A mischievous dog tipped white paint on their owner's carpet while they were watching on CCTV.

Phillip Gibbons, 57, and his partner, Caroline Dickenson, 59, had popped out to the shops on October 24, 2025, and left their German Malinois, Storm, aged two, at home.

Whilst they were out, Phillip decided to look at the home camera to check that Storm was alright and didn't expect to see what happened next.

Storm had become interested in a piece of cardboard on the table, which had a tin of white paint on top of it.

She continued to pull on the cardboard until the white paint tipped all over their green conservatory carpet.

An hour later, when Phillip and Caroline got home, they said it took them two and a half hours to clean.

Phillip, who works for a plant hire company, from Hereford, Herefordshire, said: "Storm had decided that she would have a look at the cardboard on the table and that she wanted it."

"The mess that ensued was the worst-case scenario."

"We were watching on the camera, we thought you little toads."

"We watched the paint go everywhere and thought 'oh my god' that is the carpet ruined."
