The U.S. Senate on Thursday approved a resolution to end President Donald Trump’s global tariffs. The Senate passed the joint resolution with a vote of 51-47 to terminate the national emergency declared by President Trump to implement global tariffs. Earlier this week, the Senate had already approved another two resolutions to terminate President Trump’s tariffs on Canada and Brazil. Analysts said the resolutions are largely symbolic since they are unlikely to be taken up by the House where Republican leaders have taken steps to prevent lawmakers from forcing a vote on the president's tariffs. Even if the House approve the resolutions, the U.S. Congress would still need a two-thirds majority to overcome a presidential veto. SHOTLIST: FILE: Washington D.C., USA - Date Unknown 1.
