CAMBRIDGESHIRE, UK - NOV. 2, 2025: Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Paul Bristow visited Huntingdon Station on Sunday, Nov. 2, following what he described as a “terrible attack” that occurred there the previous night.

Bristow said ten people were injured, including nine seriously, and are being treated at a hospital in Edinburgh. He praised the emergency services, first responders, and train crew for their swift actions during the incident.

Speaking at the station, Bristow said he had been in contact with the Chief Constable and other emergency officials, adding that more information would emerge as the investigation continues.

Ten people are currently in British hospitals — including nine with life-threatening injuries — following a stabbing attack on a Doncaster to London King’s Cross train late Saturday.

Two people have been arrested after multiple victims were stabbed on the train.

British Transport Police said counter-terrorism officers are supporting the investigation as they work to determine the full circumstances and motive behind the attack.

Eyewitnesses told the BBC that a man with a bloodied arm was seen running through a carriage shouting, “They’ve got a knife,” while another witness reported seeing police use a Taser on a man on the platform.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the attack as “deeply concerning” and urged the public to follow guidance from local authorities.

"My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response," he wrote on US social media company X.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood said she was "deeply saddened" to hear about the stabbings.

"I urge people to avoid comment and speculation at this early stage," she wrote on X.
