Phoenix, United States - November 02, 2025 11/02/2025 03:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a house fire near 55th Avenue and McDowell Road at approximately 3:00 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames billowing from a single-story home. Crews deployed hose lines and made entry into the home, achieving a quick knockdown on the main body of fire. According to a Phoenix Fire Department captain at the scene, at least two people escaped the home before the arrival of firefighters. One of the occupants was evaluated as a precaution at the scene but refused hospitalization. Both occupants will be displaced as a result of the fire. Crisis Response Team members are working to provide resources to the displaced occupants. Phoenix FD investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze.
