The incident was reported around 11:10 p.m. in the 800 block of North Reese Place, after a caller told dispatchers he had been shot. Officers arrived to find one victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Paramedics provided medical aid before transporting the victim to a local hospital in unknown condition. According to police, the suspect did not flee the scene and was found sitting on a nearby curb when officers arrived. His hands were bagged to preserve possible gunshot residue evidence, and he was taken into custody without incident. Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
