A routine outfit-of-the-day video turned into a viral controversy when Zauria Thomas was asked to leave a local café after bringing in a Dunkin’ Donuts drink. The clip, posted to TikTok by @zzzauria, has now gained over 10 million views.

Thomas explained she had chosen the café’s exterior as a backdrop because it looked “cute.” The owner approached her, asking if she was filming a Dunkin’ Donuts advert. Thomas laughed and clarified she planned to support the café, even purchasing a cheese danish before sitting down to record her blog.

Moments later, however, the owner told her outside drinks were not allowed and asked her to leave. Thomas posted the video in support of the café, but online viewers reacted strongly against the owner, sparking a heated debate in the comments.

I was trying to film an outfit of the day outside of a local café because the background was cute. The owner came out and asked me if I was filming a Dunkin’ Donuts ad, which I replied no and laughed and said that I was gonna come in to support the local business. I went into the shop and bought a cheese danish and was recording to do a blog and when I went to go sit down, she told me that I could not have outside drinks in there. Therefore she kicked me out of the café then I posted a video and support of the café. Everyone got super mad at the owner and it went viral.
