Lebanon - November 18, 2025 The IDF said it carried out an airstrike overnight on a Hamas compound inside the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp in southern Lebanon. According to the military, the site had been under consideration for an attack for some time, with operational conditions aligning only last night. Once dozens of militants were identified at the location, the strike was launched using an Israeli fighter jet. The facility was reportedly used for coordination among local Hamas cells operating under the group’s Lebanon branch. Initial assessments indicate that the operatives killed in the strike were relatively low-level members of the organization. Israeli officials stated the operation was part of ongoing efforts to prevent Hamas from establishing and expanding its infrastructure in Lebanon.
