France: Silent Snowfall Transforms Colombes Courtyard In Midnight Storm
Colombes, France - November 23, 2025 X user Emeric recorded a late-night video from an indoor vantage point overlooking a quiet residential courtyard and parking area during an unusual early-season snowfall around 00:40 on Sunday, November 23, 2025. The footage begins with a wide, steady view of a modern apartment building with a gray concrete facade and large rectangular windows, some glowing softly from inside. Potted plants on the balconies appear lightly frosted, while a bare branch dusted in white sways gently in the foreground. Below, the gated courtyard is coated in about two to three inches of untouched powder. A paved open space fills the center, broken only by faint tire tracks left earlier in the night. Two compact white sedans and a silver hatchback sit along the border, their roofs and windshields buried under a clean layer of accumulating flakes. A metal security gate stands partly open near a side stairwell lined with silver railings, all softened by the spreading snow. As the clip continues, the camera remains mostly still, adding slight pans and tilts to highlight the drifting flakes. Large, slow snowflakes fall diagonally in the breeze, illuminated by dim sodium-vapor streetlights and the lit apartment windows. No one is outside, reinforcing the stillness, while warm interior lights hint at residents sheltered inside. Ambient sound captures the faint hiss of wind-carried snow, distant urban noise from nearby Paris routes, and the occasional tap of flakes against the glass. The scene’s even layer of snow across the ground and railings underscores the storm’s gentle but persistent intensity.
