A fire damaged vehicles at a subway station exit in China.

Local media reported that the flames erupted on a small truck covered with a green sheet in Haizhu District, Guangzhou, on Monday afternoon, December 1.

The lorry was suspected of leaking oil, causing the fire to rapidly spread to the surrounding sidewalk.

Footage shows the truck engulfed in flames, its door open and appearing to have been abandoned on the roadway.

Another video clip reveals a towering plume of smoke as the inferno spreads along the highway, with several cars still passing by.

A row of electric bikes parked along the roadside was also set ablaze. Fire crews said the flames originated near Exit C of Shayuan Station on Guangzhou Metro Line 8.

Officials confirmed the fire was extinguished at 1:54 pm and that no casualties were reported.
