Footage shows a man being arrested by armed police at Heathrow Airport following an incident in which people were reportedly attacked with pepper spray.

The male, wearing a black puffer jacket, is seen being detained at Terminal 3 before he's placed in the back of a police van.

Eyewitness Hudaifa Yunis, 35, took the footage as he was picking up a family member from the airport.

He said: "There were at least seven or eight people injured. As I was walking out, I saw a man getting arrested and he was bundled into the back of a van."

"Emergency services were there very quickly."

He added: "It was chaos. Everyone was running around and passengers were bumping into each other. It caused massive congestion."

The Met Police said officers were called shortly after 8am after reports that a group of men attacked several people before fleeing the scene.

One man was arrested on suspicion of assault, with police continuing to search for other suspects.

Commander Peter Stevens said the incident involved people who were known to each other and is not being treated as terrorism.

London Ambulance Service confirmed that those affected were taken to hospital, with injuries that are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

Heathrow Airport has confirmed that the situation at the multi-storey car park has "now been contained"."
