Rare 360 video shows tense moment pilot makes emergency landing on beach
A rare 360-degree camera view captured the tense moment a pilot made an emergency landing on a beach.
Pilot Carlinhos de Pedreira, 53, skilfully manoeuvred the Tecnam P92 aircraft after experiencing a malfunction in the reduction gearbox at Cupe Beach in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil.
Dramatic footage shows the aviator executing an emergency landing on the shore on the afternoon of December 9.
He was alone at the time of the incident and reportedly sustained no injuries.
He said: 'It was an emergency landing, not a normal landing. We will be investigating what happened because this aircraft has only 15 hours of flight time and a brand-new engine.
'We will check what caused the engine failure, and we will see if it is maybe because of a lack of fuel.'
