10. PEOPLE GREETING ACCRA, GHANA - DEC. 11, 2025: The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) conducted a large-scale joint military exercise in the capital, Accra, in cooperation with several national security institutions on Thursday, Dec. 11.
The exercise brought together the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Prisons Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, the Customs Division of the Special Excise and Preventive Services, and the Ghana Immigration Service. Troops and personnel from participating agencies carried out coordinated field movements, vehicle deployments and security demonstrations as part of the drill.
Senior officials, including Deputy Defence Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi, Inspector General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno, and Chief of Defence Staff Maj. Gen. William Agyapong, addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of inter-agency cooperation in responding to national security challenges.
At the end of the ceremony, the officials greeted and interacted with soldiers who took part in the exercise.
