This is the heartwarming moment a delighted father-to-be shared his pregnancy news mid-flight, prompting cheers from fellow passengers.

Footage shows Samuel Brasil seated beside his partner, Maria Eduarda de Souza Lima, as he made the joyful announcement on July 25.

The couple, eagerly expecting their first child, had reportedly learned of the pregnancy just a week earlier.

Samuel drew the attention of other travellers during the flight and said in Portuguese: 'Hey, guys, I'd like to ask for a round of applause for my wife here, because I just found out I'm going to be a father!'

Holidaymakers travelling to Aracaju, Sergipe, erupted into applause and cheers, as Maria covered her face, smiling and clearly overwhelmed by the heartwarming reaction.

Several passengers offered heartfelt congratulations, and flight attendants were also seen smiling at the joyful scene.
