US, Los Angeles: Santa Clarita Big Rig Cab Slides Off Chassis Lands On 5 Freeway Lanes Trapping 2 People
Los Angeles, United States - December 18, 2025 12/18/2025 01:03 am GMT-0800 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Two people were rushed to trauma centers in unknown condition after a semi-truck’s cab slid off its chassis and landed on busy lanes of Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita. The crash was first reported at 1:03 a.m. on the 5’s northbound lanes at Magic Mountain Parkway. Two people reported trapped in the wreckage were rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The crash involved at least three semi-trucks, resulting in the closure of all northbound lanes and snarling traffic in the Santa Clarita area. The California Highway Patrol’s Newhall office is investigating the crash. Drone footage featured here has been reviewed and verified by Key News Network LLC.
