Various of ski resort; skiers Storyline UN Tourism on Tuesday presented a certificate of recognition to the northeastern Chinese city of Harbin for its leadership and excellence in the development of ice and snow tourism. The honorary title of "World Outstanding City for Ice and Snow Tourism" was conferred upon Harbin, the provincial capital of Heilongjiang, by UN Tourism at the 11th World Tourism Economic Forum Heilongjiang 2025 on Tuesday. Currently, Harbin is attracting a growing number of visitors from home and abroad with its winter tourism offerings. Famed for a display of massive ice sculptures at the annual Ice and Snow World, the city is set to launch more than 100 theme events this year to boost its winter economy.
