This is the shocking moment a driver found a perfect layer of ice still standing after rolling down his car window.

Footage shows the man pressing the window button to lower the glass panel in zero-degree weather in Henan, China.

After the window is fully retracted, a thick, translucent sheet of ice remains suspended within the frame on December 12.

To clear the opening, the driver then punches the free-standing ice, which had taken the contour of the car door, causing the frozen pane to shatter into pieces.

China's winters, lasting from late November to March, are notoriously harsh, characterised by strong winds, dry air, and sporadic frost and snowfall.
