Runaway Gravel-Laden Truck Crashes Into Marble Shop at Nashik Naka in Satana; Major Damage, No Casualties
Script:
A major accident was reported late at night in Satana city’s Nashik Naka area after a speeding truck loaded with gravel lost control and rammed into a roadside marble shop. The incident occurred on the Sakri–Shirdi highway and caused extensive property damage, though no injuries were reported as the shop was closed at the time.
According to preliminary information, the Rajasthan-registered truck was travelling at high speed when the driver lost control near Nashik Naka, sending the vehicle straight into the shop. The impact was so severe that residents in the area rushed out after hearing a loud crash.
The marble shop suffered heavy losses, with costly marble slabs, glass panels, furniture and the interior structure completely destroyed. The damage is estimated to be worth several lakhs of rupees.
The entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV cameras, clearly showing the truck barreling into the premises at high speed.
Police said the truck was carrying gravel, but details regarding the vehicle’s owner, the destination of the consignment and the identity of the driver are still unclear. The driver reportedly fled the scene after the crash. Satana police reached the spot soon after receiving information and have launched an investigation into the incident.
