The festival brings a winter showcase inspired by Buratino — the beloved wooden boy character introduced to Russian children’s literature by writer Alexey Tolstoy in 1936.
Families attending the opening toured the glittering installations and paused for photos as children gathered around the Buratino-themed figures, drawn in by the familiar fairytale imagery carved from towering blocks of ice.
