Massive tree falls on top of children's bedroom during Storm Goretti
A video shows a huge tree on top of children's bedroom during Storm Goretti.
Footage shared by The Falmouth Packet shows a massive tree that fell on two houses in Trecarne in Cornwall causing considerable damage to the roof.
The tree came down straight onto a children's bedroom but they managed to escape after hearing the tree cracking, reports the paper.
The bedrooms are destroyed but the children are said to be safe.
Residents are urged to stay indoors, secure loose items, and avoid coastal paths during the storm.
Cornwall Council has asked people to work from home on Friday morning if they can, as they are dealing with a large number of incidents and conditions remain dangerous.
The latest update is: "We're dealing with a large number of incidents caused by Storm Goretti, including fallen trees, unsafe structures and downed power lines."
"If you can work from home on Friday morning, please do so, and avoid non-essential travel. Conditions remain dangerous."
