Two ships collide in Argentina while being battered by strong winds
This is the shocking moment two expedition vessels collided in Argentina during strong winds.
The World Voyager first struck the dock before colliding with the 30,150 gross tonne Viking Octantis in Ushuaia on January 6.
Authorities confirmed that gusts reaching 40 knots (46 mph) forced the World Voyager from its moorings after its rope snapped, triggering the collision.
The crew carried out an emergency manoeuvre to limit damage to both vessels. Officials later said the Octantis suffered minor damage to one external deck, while the World Voyager sustained a crack to its bow.
There were no injuries, and both ships were cleared to resume their voyage to Antarctica.
