WASHINGTON, DC, US - JAN. 8, 2026: Protesters on Thursday, Jan. 8, gathered in the US capital, Washington, and marched to the White House to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after a US immigration agent killed a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis.

The march was held to denounce ICE following the fatal shooting, with demonstrators calling attention to the incident.

A woman shot dead on Wednesday by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during an enforcement operation in the US state of Minnesota was identified as Renee Nicole Good.

The Department of Homeland Security claimed that Good, 37, attempted to hit officers with her vehicle, prompting an agent to fire in what officials described as an act of "self-defense."

Local officials disputed that account, with Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey saying he reviewed video footage of the shooting and rejected claims that it was justified, calling it a reckless use of force. He demanded that federal immigration agents leave the city.
