Giant ‘Fat Convertible’ Sculpture Warps Reality Outside Luxury London Hotel

Austrian artist Erwin Wurm’s striking sculpture Fat Convertible is displayed outside The Berkeley hotel in London.
Created in 2019, the artwork is made of polished aluminium, weighs approximately 800 kilograms, and depicts an exaggerated, distorted convertible car.
The piece reflects Wurm’s signature style, using humour and inflated forms to deliver social commentary on modern life and consumer culture.
