In the video, a group of people tries to distract a young man participating in the event, who is desperately climbing a grease-covered bamboo pole set on a muddy path, with prizes hanging at the top. Despite slipping and sliding, he laughs and struggles while teammates at the base try to support him. Spectators, including children and adults, line the sides of the narrow streets, cheering and enjoying the festivities, some under umbrellas as a light drizzle falls.
