Türkiye - January 18, 2026 CENTCOM Region – On December 18, 2025, a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 74th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron conducted an air refueling operation for a U.S. Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The mission allowed the P-8A to extend its maritime patrol and reconnaissance operations, contributing to regional stability and security. The KC-135’s long-range capabilities and aircrew’s night vision systems enable refueling at any time of day or night, enhancing operational readiness across the region.
