Anti-ICE protest held in New York to honor Renee Good killed in Minneapolis

1. VARIOUS OF ANTI-ICE PROTESTERS MARCHING, HOLDING BANNERS AND CHANTING SLOGANS NEW YORK CITY, US - JAN. 19, 2026: An anti-ICE protest titled “Justice Now” was held in New York City on Monday, Jan. 19, to commemorate Renee Good, a 37-year-old American, who was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent earlier this month.
As part of the protest, demonstrators marched from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Federal Plaza building in Manhattan, where the local ICE center is located, calling for justice and accountability.
Widespread protests have broken out across the United States following the Trump administration’s deployment of ICE agents to numerous U.S. cities and the killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer.
Trump critics say the ICE raids ordered by Trump do not target the criminals, gang members, and “worst of the worst” he promised, but rather hardworking, law-abiding migrants who have been in the US for years or even decades.
They also point to extensive camera footage of the killing of Good, showing that she was not using the car as a weapon when an ICE officer fired his gun into her car, shooting her four times.
The FBI has taken over investigation of the incident, excluding a local probe, drawing pushback from critics who say Trump has politicized the bureau, making an impartial investigation very unlikely.
