File footage of a film crew shooting a car chase scene for Steven Spielberg's new movie "Ready Player One" in Birmingham in England's West Midlands.

The movie had its world premiere in Texas earlier this month and opened in UK cinemas this week.

The video, shot in 2016 in the city's Jewellery Quarter, shows a US mail van being chased by two other vehicles in a dystopian street.

Many extras can be seen walking around in futuristic outfits and wearing virtual reality headsets.

The movie was reportedly first slated for release at the end of 2017.

"Ready Player One" is based on Ernest Cline’s book of the same name.
