Chinese 'fake' art installation to be demolished after British artist complains
Footage has emerged from China of an art installation in Shanghai which will reportedly be demolished after the artist who designed the original in London in 1973 claimed the sundial structure was a copy of her work.
The video, filmed on Tuesday, shows the alleged Timepiece copy on the banks of the Huangpu River in the south-eastern city.
The original Timepiece was designed by British artist Wendy Taylor and the sculpture has stood by the River Thames in London for decades.
Wendy Taylor reportedly contacted the artists' rights organisation and the Chinese and British governments, and the Shanghai copy will now be removed.
