Emerging through queue and filtering motorbike crash with Audio

This video was not captured by myself, but my another driving instructor in Edinburgh.Firstly, nobody was seriously hurt in this accident. The news-report (https://stv.tv/news/east-central/1347...) said that the bike rider suffered a leg injury. This video is posted with permission from the driving instructor who recorded this. A car is being let out from a queue and the driver assumes this means that nothing is coming from the right, as they are only looking to the left. The driving instructor did not wave the car out. The motorbike rider sees nothing coming towards him and assumes that it is safe to filter past the queue.Learning points:If someone is letting you out then check that anyone else behind/beside them is also letting you go. Even if they flash/wave you across, then check if it is safe for yourself. Is there a hidden car coming up an empty lane? Is there a bicycle or motorbike that doesn't need much space (bikes could be on the pavement) and could be going much faster than the queue? If you are filtering or moving past any queued traffic then anticipate that someone may emerge or cross through any gap. Even if there isn't much of a gap then a pedestrian could be crossing suddenly. If someone is crossing through a gap in front of you then consider checking your mirrors and trying to alert them (horn and/or hand signal to stop might do it) if you see a potential collision. It's not your direct responsibility other than everyone having a moral duty to try and keep the roads safe.Ensure that you know some basic first aid. Prevent further accidents/injuries. If a casualty's airway is blocked then brain damage could begin before an ambulance could reach you. Lot's of people will stand around not sure what to do or worried about 'doing the wrong thing' but that is often the 'wrong thing' and you could help save a life. This video is being managed exclusively by Newsflare.
