A funny video has emerged of a scared woman's reaction to an ostrich chasing and "attacking" her car.

The footage, filmed during a road trip in the Hai Bar Yotvata nature reserve earlier this year, shows the large bird approaching Ari and Jess Lawson's car.

As Jess begins to panic, the ostrich starts pecking away at the vehicle prompting the couple to reverse, but it continues to follow them.

According to the uploader, Jess has a life-long fear of birds so this can't have been a pleasant experience.

Ari and Jess Lawson were on a road trip in Israel, and decided to stop by the Hai Bar Yotvata nature reserve, where they are working on reintroducing once-native species into the region. They drove through the safari-like section of the reserve and quickly realized they were on the wrong path when this very territorial female ostrich came to make sure they steered clear of her nest. (It should be noted that Jess has a life-long fear of birds ... and Ari could have been driving a little faster!) No animals (or rental cars) were harmed in the making of this video.
