Bizarre footage has emerged from China appearing to show a woman punishing her husband after she caught him "chatting" with other women.

The video, filmed in Zigong, Sichuan Province on December 8, shows the tied-up man, kneeling and kowtowing, carrying a sign reading: “Wife, I was wrong.”

The woman appears to be using a slipper to slap the man while asking him “will you chat with other women again in the future? Were you wrong?”

The woman uses a slipper to slap on the man's face, while asking him “will you chat with other women again in the future? Were you wrong?”

According to local reports, the woman and the man were couple. Because the man chatted with other women and was caught by his wife, she used this way to punish him.
